Shawlands Community Clean-up went well and we managed to clean streets opposite Shawla ds Academy.
One of the volunteers said that they have bahhed a lot less rubbish this time compare to the last time.
The area is getting more and more cleaner and we are joined by more and more volunteers. Thanks to Shawlands Academy and Shawlands Primary school for their support.
April Pollokshields Community Clean-up went well. We were joined by Human Appeal Volunteers.
We have managed to clean Forth Street, Melville St, Leven St, Leslie St, Glennap St and Forth St.

The Organisation:
PATH (Scotland) offers a thirty-six month Positive Action Training Scheme, which has been specifically designed to redress the under-representation of black and minority ethnic communities in employment in Scottish Housing. PATH works in collaboration with Local Authority Housing Departments and Registered Social Landlords across Scotland to provide our housing training opportunities.
The Training involves:
Thirty-six months work experience / specialist qualifications and professional membership / training allowance (£9,500 in year one, £10,500 in year two, £12,000 in year three). This allowance is exempt from tax and national insurance.
At the end of the programme, trainees can compete for jobs in Scottish Housing.
3 days work experience (between Monday and Friday) and an additional day attendance at college or university during the academic year.

A food waste recycling service will be provided to all households within Glasgow by April 2017.
A commercial food waste recycling service is currently available. Please contact the commercial services team for further information.

The free LFHW app allows you to easily keep track of food planning, shopping, cooking meals and making the most of leftovers. It also has lots of great recipe ideas and tips for using forgotten foods and leftovers to make great tasting meals.
Starting from 4 April food waste caddies, liners and instructional leaflets will start to be distributed to flats and tenements within the city. An approximate timescale for the different geographical areas within the city is noted below.
